Pastoral Leadership
terence ong · senior pastor
Faithfully chased by the Father. Beloved member of the local church. Growing husband and father. Recovering thrill-seeker.
Terence was baptized in Christ in 1983; and since then, the journey with Christ has been rich with meaning, filled with surprises, and above all, marked by an awakening to His unfailing Love. He has been married to Brenda-Mae since 2002 and is a father to four boys.

Terence is Senior Pastor at Centre of New Life since 2016 and has been serving the Lord full time for over 18 years. He holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div) at Trinity Theological College (Singapore), and Bachelor of Economics from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). He is currently a member of the Board at ACTS College, and a member of the Executive Council of Assemblies of God Singapore.
He is passionate about the local church – as the primary witnesses of God’s New Creation through their life in communion with Jesus of Nazareth, as crucified Messiah, risen Lord and coming King. He considers his vocation to serve the local church as a great privilege, but his greatest joy remains his election to be a faithful member of the church, the beloved bride of Christ.
Outside of pastoral ministry, he enjoys watching dramas and movies with the family and thinking about the integration of the Gospel in Culture through these stories. He also enjoys games that bring people together, like soccer, basketball and board games. When alone, he loves reading and writing, and derives joy from participating in efficient bio-mechanical movement through land, and water; and with the most amazing machine known as the bicycle.
navin Ong · centre pastor

Navin joined Centre of New Life when he was 18 years old. He soon found himself serving as musician, worship leader and subsequently as youth pastor, and Christian Education teacher. And was beginning to learn what it meant to serve the Lord faithfully. He has been married to Agnes since 1999, and has a tween daughter Tya whom he affectionately calls ‘Stinky’.

Navin has been serving in the church for 27 years, with 18 of those years as a lay pastor and the last 5 years in a full-time capacity as Jurong West Centre Pastor. He is passionate about seeing families and individuals strengthened and fully-formed in Christ through deepening spiritual companionship and friendships. He considers CNL, his one big crazy family – one that has been a big anchor in his tumultuous life, and which he finds great joy in serving and shepherding.
In his previous life, Navin worked in the Advertising Industry as an account manager and copywriter before becoming an educator with the Ministry of Education and subsequently worked in the private sector as a curriculum designer and educator for IB and IP English programmes and EFL teacher at tertiary level.
He holds a diploma in Mass Communication (Ngee Ann), a Diploma in Education from National Institute of Education (NTU), and a BA in English & Literature from UniSim (SUSS). He has currently deferred his studies for a Master of Theological Studies at Trinity Theological College but hopes to continue within the next 2 years (if they will take him back).
When he’s bored, he enjoys songwriting and reading. Since the pandemic, he has been learning video production, photography, and pretending to be a filmmaker.
jason ting · centre pastor
Child of God. Follower of Jesus. Servant of the gospel. Husband. Wannabe car and bike mechanic.
Jason grew up in a Christian family, but experienced a powerful and personal revival in 2006. He joined Centre of New Life as a pastoral intern in 2008, and became a pastor designate in 2011.

Jason was Centre Pastor to our City Centre congregation in Centre of New Life from 2013-2021. He graduated with a Bachelor in Economics and Management from University of London and Masters of Divinity from Trinity Theological College.
He is excited to see the lost, orphans of the world, spiritually dead and blind, experience and receive the life and love of God in Jesus, be overwhelmed by the grace of God and filled with the hope of Christ in their hearts.
He has been married to Clarisse since 2018 and together they love opening up their home to family and friends. Clarisse whips up a storm in the kitchen while Jason tidies the living room to welcome their guests. Topics close to his heart are Pentecostalism, christian ethics and spirituality.
Outside of ministry, he watches car restoration shows, longs to ride motorbikes again and has been supporting Tottenham since David Ginola.
jeannie siau · chinese pastor
Fully committed to seeking God for all the days of my life. 成为寻求神的人是我的生活方式。
Jeannie accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour since 2001. She is wife to Alan for over 30 years, and they both have a son and daughter.

Jeannie pastors Centre of New Life’s Chinese congregation in Jurong West. She holds a Bachelor of Theology at ACTS College and is ordained as an Assemblies of God minister.
Jeannie holds the belief that, “[we] are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that [we] may declare the praises of him who called [us] out of darkness into His wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9). Relying daily on the power granted by the Holy Spirit, she works with faithfully with fellow members of CNL to serve Christ and to pursue spiritual growth, and is committed to becoming a reflection of Christ’s love to the community.
Outside of ministry, Jeannie enjoys spending her free time singing, meditating, and cooking.
2001年蒙神恩典得救，与Alan结婚30年育有一女一男。
2019年担任新生命中心JW 华文堂的牧师。在2017年以神学学位(Bachelor of Theology)毕业于ACTS神学院，持有AG 所颁给的Licensed Minister。
秉着这样信念，“是被拣选的族类，是有君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国度，是属上帝的子民，要叫你们宣扬那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德”（彼前2：9）靠着圣灵赐的能力，与肢体同心合一的互相的配搭来服事，追求并建立灵命的长进，成为爱的管道将基督的爱带给社群。
忙于教会的事工之外，闲暇时间喜欢听歌，思考，烹饪。
josephine lee · chinese pastor

Jo is passionate for the delivery of biblical truths in simplicity to the Mandarin speaking community and especially to the seniors. Discovering spirituality and truths in practical everyday experiences becomes a way of growing together for those who have already seen so much of life.

Jo received her theological training at the Theological Centre for Asia and holds a Masters of Ministry (M.Min). She has served in Centre of New Life for over 20 years, first as a youth pastor and later assisting in pastoring in the English congregation. Currently, Jo leads the charge as the Chinese congregation pastor in the City Centre.
Jo loves to go for walks in our national or neighbourhood parks to relax and exercise. She is rather particular about eating and drinking well and enjoys spending her weekends with family members, feasting over delicious and lovingly prepared meals.
Ramachandran Jeyakumar · PASTOR (tamil)
Follower of Christ. Pastor. Husband. Father. Loves to be with people. Enjoys swimming.
Jeyakumar has been following Jesus in faith for 32 years. He’s married to Iris Regina, and is a father to two boys and two girls.

Pastor Kumar is from South India where he served as a Pastor with New Life Assemblies of God Church (Little Mount, Chennai) in the early years of his ministry. He holds a Bachelor of Theology from Southern Asia Bible College.
In 2009, Pastor Kumar started a ground-up ministry in Centre of New Life for Tamil-language speakers and in the past 10+ years of pastoral work, he has never looked back since.
He passionately believes that only Jesus Christ provides the remedy for all human maladies and is zealous to make disciples for the Lord. He strives to reflect Christ to others and desires for all Indians in Singapore to have the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have their lives transformed by the good news.
Apart from the ministry, he treasures his time with his family and loves reading, listening to music and swimming.
CELSO N. ESCANILLAS JR · PASTOR (FILIPINO)
Pastor. Husband. Father. Engineer. Adventurer. Plant and animal lover.
Celso met his wife, Josephine, in ministry, and have been married for over 28 years. He is also father to two young men aged 21 and 26 years old.

Growing up as a devout Catholic in the Philippines, Celso came to know Christ through a campus ministry. From there, he found a local church and discovered his personal calling, which led him to take up courses in pastoral and biblical ministries. He assisted his brother in pastoring a local church in his hometown, Angeles City, while still in bible school.
Celso is an electrical engineer by training and has resided in Singapore for the past 13 years. Prior to Singapore, he worked in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He joined Centre of New Life in 2013 and two years later, stepped up to serve as the lay pastor to the Filipino congregation in the church. He is grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness in leading him to Singapore, where he can both work and fulfil his calling to minister to the Filipino community here.
Celso is thankful for the various brothers, sisters and mentors God has placed in his life - for their guidance and support in his spiritual journey. Without them, he could not have gotten this far.
ephraim thong · pastoral assistant

Ephraim has been pursuing Christ in faith for over 20 years, and is into his fourth year serving full-time with Centre of New Life. He is newly married to Abigail in September 2020.

As Pastoral Assistant, Ephraim works closely with the Senior Pastor and Centre Pastors, reimagines Life Groups for the next generation, and nurtures the worship service ministries. On a daily basis, he takes time to pray, study the word, participate in pastoral catch-ups with church members, and equips Life Group leaders to be effective in their ministries.
Ephraim is one of the pioneers of Burning Hearts, a worship and prayer movement in leadership and worship-leading. As a Lover of Jesus Christ, Ephraim desires to see His will be established in the Church and the lives of people in Asia.
Ephraim is a drum educator, a fan of Zara Jeans, and spends his leisure time on the Playstation, listening to music, watching movies, and filling up on good food.
Administrative Support
sarah peh · Administrative Executive
Introvert. Companion to her community. Life Group leader. Translator. Fun-seeker.
Since receiving the Lord as Saviour in 2004, Sarah has been serving full time at Centre of New Life for more than a decade.

As both Administrative Executive and Personal Assistant, she supports the Senior Pastor, and provides administrative support in the Finance, Human Resource and Facilities Management departments.
Being effectively bilingual, Sarah actively translates collaterals for the Church. She also works with pastors and volunteers in events planning.
As a Life Group leader, Sarah shepherds her community by pointing people towards God’s glory. She finds great joy in witnessing people from all walks of life worshipping and serving the Lord together.
During her leisure time, Sarah enjoys playing board games and singing. She also finds deep joy and comfort when she spends time with the people she loves.
